RISINGSTARS AND SUPER 7  DRAW

Clash between Risingsatrs and Mjiza based side Super 7  ended  nil - nil  . Despite of playing a draw both teams displayed a good quality football which was embraced with counter attacks and rare dribling skills  that left spectators with something to say. RISINGSATRS TO PLAY SUPER 7

Majomela Rising stars will host Mjiza based side not Citizen this time but  well perfoming  enthusiastic young stars Super 7 at Y-centre this coming weekend. Rising stars play another draw.

Rising stars again failed to protect their slender lead they obtained

in  the seond half when their prodigal son Toyitoyi who earlier this

year tried his luck with with Zulu  power, netted home their solitary goal

only tobe cancelled    by a last    minute  strike from  Mabhuti  to level the odds. That was their second draw of the season.

Players like Bhekezahe who were reluctant  to join Rising stars are now jelling   well  with the rest of the squad.

RISING STARS- CITIZEN CLASH  ABORTED

The game between Rising stars and  Mjiza citizen was called off after the the ball that was being used had been taken by other team  which had  landed it to the two  . That happened after the initially used  Citiezen's  ball had got an unfixable punch so as the host team they were compelled to borrow from the other team which they had defeated earlier .'We don't know whether their hearts were still painful after that big drubbing we gave them now they took their ball as the pay back .'Said  Citizen captain .

OH WHAT ABLOW

The Brazilian South African national soccer team Peraira has quirt his job. He left this job at crucial time where everybodie's eyes are on the 2010 world cup expecting South Africa to reach at list semifinals if not winning it. Now we are all in the dilemma of who is giong to be a suitable replacement. Everyone seem to sing one 's  personal song about his successor.  There is strong view that he should be coming from  Brazil as South African style of play is considered to be similar to that of Brazil. Others want a former Chelsea coach Jose Murino to replace him. It look like we won't hear very soon about  the next gaffer untill  the end  of  Euro 2008. Where SAFA may have chance to hold talks with  other Brazillian Scholari whom they were looking for even prior  Perairra's appointment who is  currently coaching the well performing  Portugal. Though he will be out of contract  by then , I  don't see him taking South African coaching job unless Portugal perform dismally in the Euro.

THE STARS ARE RISING

Majomela Rising stars walloped  Sundowns by 2-0 in the game played at Y center ,in a newly started football association last week. Goal scorers were captain' Fani young cannibal's young brother Thobani and Veli. These  were  good news for Risingstars who had beenrecently knocked out on penalties by Mampiyampiya in R1000 stake.

15.55 -14/04/08

'THE NEW ASSOCIATION LOOKS HEADLESS'

The newly incepted football association for Nongoma - Majomela region looks headless and being a waste of time that  was the view of some Rising stars fc players who claimed that It had no organised structures including manegemant, rule and other features . Fixtures are only announced two days before kickoff  which is totally unacceptable. One player who didn't want his name to be mentioned he said they would withdraw from that league if things were not improved.

Captain  Fanni young canibal Zulu was among the culpprits whose penalty  kicks were saved  by Mampiyas goalkeeper. Silwayi also ballooned his shot  over the bar. Thabani and Popo scored.

SURPRISES

Have you ever thought of  an African country beating  European country at  its own backyard? That  what happened last week when the Lions of Atlas Morocco walloped Belgium 4 -0 in Belgium. Something we have never thought of before. In  other matches South Africa  easily washed away their South Americans opponents Paraguay who are highly rated these days. When one is looking at the fifa rankings one  start to imagine. Are these rankings well justified? but then one  remembers that  football has a spherical shape that's why  it rolls where ever it wants.

There were many other surprises in diffrent countries.   In Spain, Bacerlona were taken by surprise when they were difeated 3-2 by Realbetis despite of leading by 2-0 at some point in the game.

That alone is a surprise especially to Barcelona who really needed points as they were still in the  title battle against their rivals Real Madrid who are currently topping the Laliga.

In Nigeria the current diffending champions Enyimba were held by  the current leaders Kano pillars 2-2 something I had never thought it would happen. I used to think Enyimba were the all time Nigerian champions.

Though I was not expecting Egypt to beat Argentina but I was also not expecting them to be easily beaten  by 2-0 in Cairo. That  brings back couple of questions: When African team will beat the best in the world?

In Zimbabwe all games were suspended to allow voters to cast their ballots without thinking about football [ I also  think.]

In South Africa a Durban based first division  side Nathi lions will be singing all the way home from Johanesburg after they had eleminated their premiership opponents Jomo cosmos by 5-3 in the Nedbank cup last 16 that ended on penalties.

RISING STARS TO PLAY AGAINST SUNDOWNS

In their preparation for the new season campaign ,Risingstars will play against the mighty Happy Sundowns next  Sunday. ''The results are not much important for the next week's game. We would like to win just to build up the momentum but our main aim is  to see how our new boys like Bhekezakhe and others gel to form the  strongest side that will bring us goats and cash,''  Said Risingstars chairman Mr S. Khumalo who also added that they have never won a goat/ any domestic animal as a trophy so  this year they will attempt to do that. Looking at the history of the Risingstars they have been playing constantly but they have only  one major title under their belt Top 4 they won last year and pocketed R800.

SUNDOWNS STAKE  POSTPONED

Sundowns stake has just been postponed due to poor turnout from local clubs.  Sundowns spokesperson  and tournament organizer, Mr W.Zwane said ''this is a big blow to  us as we have  spent  the whole week preparing for this tournament. We were unaware of any educational tour that  local schools have. ''

Discussions are going on regarding new league which was due for inception a couple of months ago but due to lack of financial support  it ended up just being a delayed jet.

RISING STARS  OUT OF SUNDOWNS STAKE

Risingstars won't take part in R1000 stake organized by Happy Sundowns  tomorrow at Y centre in Majomela-Nongoma  due to certain technical problems. In a statement  released by team captain Fani 'FYC' Zulu,he said they have decided not participate because the rest of the squad will be away on educational tours. Players like Thabani,Sipho from Mthombo wesizwe  high and the new signing from Zulu Power  Bhekezakhe from 'Matha' high  won't be available for selection.

New volcano boy for Rising stars

Zulu power's foward   Bhekezakhe Nene  will be wearing red ,black and white colours this season  following his recent move from Zulu power to Rising stars. Speaking to Breaking news this morning he said, he cherished that moment to be part of this  amazing proffesionally managed football team. This volcano boy is without a doubt one of best fowards Zulu power have ever had since departure of  Bhethani born forward Mhlobi.

Other positve news for Amarizing is that their prodigal son Mzamo is back in the camp. He is currently training with the rest of the squad.

Rising stars are losing key players

Rising stars will start their season campaign without services of their two key players  who are said to have left the camp. Xolani Ndlozi [squating on the far right of the picture] has gone to Durban for his tertiary education whereas Toyi toyi Ndaba[Standing on the right ] has joined his home team Zulu power. Now the question is: who is going to fill those gaps opened by this two stalwarts. Rising stars captain Fani 'Funny young canibal'Zulu said it was  hard to tell at the moment but he was hopeful of at least one candidate with  whom they were having talks. He said they were still checking if that unnamed player would fit to Rising stars set up which seemed to have taken another turn following drastical changes that were going on  at the camp.

We have finally taken a  hard decision to temporarily close our online radio and tv stations as we felt they were not reaching a target we had aim for prior to their inception. We will just take a halt ,organize ourselves then turn  back in a full swing. In this inactive stage we will try and produce  many quality programmes as much as we can . Firstly we need  to establish and expand this web properly then advertise it. Latest report from our readers' e mails shows that it still very hard to get an access to it so we will  work hard on that.
